Hello lovely people. For the new customers we have yet to meet, and the ones we have met along the way who appreciate what we do and the level of care it has taken to get us to this point. We love you, we appreciate you and we thank you for your patronage.
Running a small business is really hard, but also very rewarding. This week we had a beautiful five star review from a returning customer who has brought our skincare. ( thank you Justina) When I read the review I honestly felt a little tearful, but smiled with pride inside because when we make beautiful products they undergo rigorous testing by us to get them to their most perfect. We have to get chemical analysis done and a chemists report, which safeguards our industry and you the customer. All batches have to then be uploaded on the government portal, so its a lot of work, time and expense. You have to love what you do. We think about the packaging and the whole customer experience. We bring them to market and rely on the how good they are in the hope that customers will love them and tell their friends to increase sales. Reviews help build trust, so to get such a wonderful review makes all the hard work and effort worth it and that review bought a ray of sunshine to my day.
As a small business we don't have the budget for big advertising campaigns, so when someone takes the time to leave a review, we are always so grateful.
Last year Prettykarma grew exponentially. Our sales increased, our catalogue increased. We now offer over sixty inspired fragrances. We get great reviews because our fragrances are long lasting and very similar to favourites. It feels good when you have returning customers. We do craft fairs so that we can engage with people and have built lovely relationships with customers we now know by name. Who come to see us to buy , but also to say hello.
This year our soap sales trebled. I do believe people are going back to old fashioned remedies for both skin and cleansing. Our soaps are very reasonably priced, often told we are too cheap by other makers, honestly I love making soap, for me its art and I think carefully about what we use. So if I can entice people away from mass produced gels etc: then that's a bonus. Handmade soap makes cleansing our bodies real selfcare, with clays and salts a true benefit to the skin.
Our skin care, we call Glow comprises of a tallow and honey elixir a cleansing balm and a serum called glow immortelle have been gaining some great feedback and I am hoping we will expand to some other products that as a family we are currently using, but haven't bought to market yet. We will definitely be doing some white label this year and expanding our catalogue. We make many products for the family, which they love and we know you will too. So watch this space.
